Definition of Cruisin

Who we are!

Why we are here!

What we want to do!

When we plan to be done!

Definition according to Webster (Paraphased and modified by Rick)

  cruisin (krz’n)

v. cruise, cruised, cruis·ing
  v. intr.

  1. To go or move along, especially in an unhurried or unconcerned fashion.
  2. To travel at a constant speed, or at a speed providing maximum operating efficiency for a sustained period.
  3. To move leisurely about an area in the hope of discovering something. Cruisin for a Bruisin!

Who?

Cruisin is all those people that love cars! Cruisin.com is the culmination of years of hope and quite a lot of sweat provided mostly by Rick Jackson.

Why?

Have you ever tried to find anything about cars on the Internet? Well I have and I don’t like what happens.

What?

I have a vision of where this site is headed. But in the true sense of the definition part 3 above I want the site to be guided by those people that are the most important. Who are they?

The most important are the members! You will be the people that make this site possible and should have some say in what is included.
Anyone that uses the site will have the opportunity to influence its ever evolving design. Your input is valued because we want you to continue to use us.

When?

It would be great to have this working today! However, I want to do it right. Doing things right takes time and money. In this case I have the time, I don’t have tons of money and have no desire to sell my dream in order to have Cruisin.com become realized. Mostly because it will never become what I envision if I have to allow the bean counters to determine what is ‘cost effective’. For an example of what happens when bean counters try to create:  look at the cars that came from General Motors from 1975 to 1983. The Corvette had the same body style from 1968 to 1982 and they forgot that Sports Cars require HORSEPOWER to be sporty!
